Gerab National Enterprises is excited to announce its participation in the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES) 2025, taking place between the 17th and 19th of February at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo. As a leading exhibitor, Gerab views EGYPES as a key platform for engaging with industry leaders and showcasing our latest valve and fitting solutions.
About EGYPES
Established under the patronage of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, EGYPES has evolved into North Africa and the Mediterranean’s most significant energy exhibition and conference. The event was first held in 2017 and has since grown into a premier platform for industry leaders to converge, discuss, and collaborate on the future of energy in the region.
The 2025 edition, themed “Driving Energy Transition, Security and Decarbonisation,” is expected to attract over 47,000 attendees from local and international businesses, providing a platform to explore future project opportunities and gain insights into the evolving energy sector.
Over the years, EGYPES has facilitated substantial business deals, demonstrating its importance in the global energy landscape. The event attracts participation from leading multinational corporations, including Baker Hughes, Chevron, ExxonMobil, and Shell, reaffirming its status as a meeting point for regional energy leaders.
The North African Oil & Gas Market
North Africa’s oil and gas industry has long been a major contributor to the region’s economy, providing significant revenue streams for countries like Algeria, Libya, and Egypt. Despite challenges such as declining reserves and geopolitical instability, the sector is poised for a bright future. Recent discoveries, particularly offshore, in Algeria, Libya, and Egypt, suggest significant potential for growth in the region.
The region’s proven oil reserves exceed 65 billion barrels, highlighting its significant role in the global energy supply. North Africa also boasts substantial natural gas reserves, with Algeria ranking as the 10th-largest holder of natural gas reserves globally and the sixth-largest gas exporter.
Between April 2021 and March 2022, Egypt led in mergers and acquisitions within the oil and gas sector, recording deals worth approximately $461 million. Looking ahead, the North African refined petroleum products market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 2.1 percent, driven by rising demand in power generation and transportation.
